We are delighted to announce we are commencing work with The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust on their new Oak Cancer Centre in Sutton.

We have been appointed by Michael J Lonsdale to manage the design and installation of the fire alarm monitoring, access control and CCTV.

Opening in 2022, the new, state-of-the-art treatment and research facility will enhance the clinical research capacity of The Royal Marsden by bringing together 400 researchers currently dispersed across the site. Breakout spaces have been designed to encourage researchers specialising in different cancer types to share ideas and innovation, which will help speed up the development of new treatments.

The Oak Cancer Centre is being made possible thanks to The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity’s £70 million fundraising appeal.

Our work on the site will ensure the building follows the most up to date fire safety guidelines, as well as offering access control for staff that will be working in the department as well as any patient or visitor access. The system will be integrated with the rest of the Royal Marsden site to ensure those that have access to the other buildings on site can use the same entry mechanism already in place. And our CCTV system will ensure the added security is in place to protect the building, staff, and visitors.

James Oliver, Managing Director of Code Security said: “We are thrilled to be working on this project. The centre is such an important part of the fight against cancer, and we are honoured to have been selected to help prepare this building for its opening next year.”
